I have no experience with fixative spray, but for the 5€ I paid, this seems very good to me. I tried it with a pencil by making 3 swatches and rubbing them with my finger. I rubbed the first swatch before using the spray, the second one after spraying one layer, and the third one after spraying two layers (I waited about 15 minutes each time for it to dry). You can see the results in the photo. It didn't protect them 100%, but it should be noted that I rubbed my finger vigorously on the samples, and that this particular pencil was quite soft (2B). I also tried it with an HB pencil, and it didn't smudge at all after spraying.
