Purchased today. Its installation was very easy. I have posted a photo to help some people. It is the one with the multicolored cables like a rainbow. Installed in a TCL elite 18. Indeed, there is space for the whole component to fit and you need a small screw, but even without it, it still stays there.
Now, for the connection with the mobile, I downloaded TCL home. It gave me a bit of trouble; personally, I did step 3, which you will see in the app instructions, and after some attempts, it connected perfectly. I also connected it with Alexa and it works perfectly. In the future, I will check for disconnections or problems. It seems to be worth its money. Purchased from the TCL representative in Piraeus

Τωρα στη συνδεση μετο κινητο κατεβασα την TCL home. Με παιδεψε λιγο, προσωπικα εκανα το βημα 3 που θα το δειτε στις οδηγιες της εφαρμογης και υστερα απο καποιες δοκιμες συνδεθηκε αψογα. Το συνδεσα επισης και μετην alexa και λειτουργει αψογα. Μελλοντικα θε ελενξω για αποσυνδεσεις ή πρβοβληματα. Δειχνει οτι αξιζει τα λεφτα του. Αγοραστηκε απτον εκπροσωπο της TCL στον πειραια
In my TCL model, the port for the adapter was hidden behind the unit's cables. It took some effort to find it... but after that, the connection was very easy. You just need to download the app and scan the adapter's QR code.
Στο δικό μου μοντέλο tcl η υποδοχή για τον ανταπτορα ήταν κρυμμένη πίσω από τα καλώδια της μονάδας . Ήθελε προσπαθεια για να τη βρεις ..αλλά μετά η σύνδεση ήταν πολύ εύκολη . Αρκεί να κατεβάσεις την εφαρμογή και να σκαναρεις τον qr code του ανταπτορα.

In a TCL 12 model where its own module never connected.. I put this one and it worked immediately.. I also put it in another brand and it worked well too

The module was easily installed on the device and placed externally on the board in the already existing socket. Later, with the TCL app, I couldn't connect it and attempted to connect it to the Tesla app where I already have a device in the bedroom, and surprisingly it installed right away without any issues. For now, after testing, all its functions work perfectly, and additionally, I have both air conditioners in the same app.

Μετέπειτα με την εφαρμογή της TCL δεν κατάφερα να το συνδέσω και έκανα απόπειρα να το συνδέσω στην εφαρμογή της Tesla όπου έχω ήδη μια συσκευή στο υπνοδωμάτιο και παραδόξως εγκαταστάθηκε με τη μια χωρίς κανένα πρόβλημα. Προς το παρών μετά από δοκιμές όλες οι λειτουργίες του λειτουργούν άψογα και συν ότι έχω και τα δυο air condition στην ίδια εφαρμογή.
Easy installation on the air conditioner.
There is difficulty until it enters discoverable mode and is added as a Split AC in the application. There was no reset button on mine like the one shown in the product image. So to achieve it, I pressed the ECO button on the remote control 6 times and after a short wait, it made 2 beeps and the CF appeared on the screen and then the PP. It took a few repetitions but it found it and added it.
Within the application, it has various extra functions such as the dry button that blows pure air after you close it to dry the elements after cooling. Plus some nice features for scheduling. In google home it has minimal controls, but in Alexa it displays the ambient temperature in the app (the room temperature as perceived by the air conditioner). I imagine that in home assistant etc. it will be more useful to create usage scenarios while the air conditioner is in operation

Υπάρχει δυσκολία μέχρι να μπει σε discoverable mode και να προστεθεί σαν Split AC στην εφαρμογή. Κουμπί reset δεν υπήρχε στο δικό μου όπως αυτό που φαίνεται στην εικόνα του προιόντος. Οπότε για να το πετύχω πατούσα το κουμπί ECO στο χειριστήριο 6 φορες και μετά απο λίγη αναμονη, έκανε 2 μπιπ και άναβε στην οθονη το CF και μετα το PP. Χρειάστηκε μερικές επαναλήψεις αλλά το βρήκε και το πρόσθεσε.
Εντός της εφαρμογής έχει διάφορες έξτρα λειτουργίες όπως το κουμπάκι dry που φυσάει σκέτο αέρα αφου το κλείσεις για να στεγνώσει τα στοιχεία μετά την ψύξη. Συν κάποια ωραια για χρονοπρογραμματισμό. Στο google home έχει ελαχιστα χειριστήρια, αλλά στην Alexa εμφανίζει στο app την ambient temperature (την θερμοκρασία του δωματίου όπως την αντιλαμβάνεται το κλιματιστικό). Φαντάζομαι οτι σε home assistant κτλ θα είναι πιο αξιοποιήσιμα για να φτιάξεις σενάρια χρήσης όσο είναι εν λειτουργία το κλιματιστικό
Installed on tcl chsa 12. After two afternoons of testing, I realized that it requires a 2.4 network and there should not be a 5 with the same name (like I had with the Mercusys H50G) because it disconnects every 2-3 days, while now for a week and a half I have no issues. So a clean 2.4 and you're good.
I couldn't get it to work with any other application other than TCL. It's not perfect but it does the job just fine.
It's handy. If I see anything strange with disconnections, I will come back.
Disconnected once after 20 days. You unplug the air conditioner from the outlet for 1 to 2 minutes and plug it back in and everything is fine.
If it disconnects once a month, it's not a terrible problem (for me). It's manageable.
Apart from Alexa, which sees it through the TCL application, I couldn't get other applications to see it at all.

It has been a month (since the last disconnection) without any disconnections. And after several power outages, it reconnects automatically.
All good. It does the job.
If I see anything strange, I will come back.

Εγκαταστάθηκε σε tcl chsa 12άρι.Μετά από δύο απογεύματα δοκιμών κατάλαβα ότι θέλει δίκτυο 2.4 και να μην υπάρχει 5άρι με το ίδιο όνομα ( όπως είχα εγώ με τα Mercusys H50G ) γιατί αποσυνδέεται κάθε 2-3 ημέρες , ενώ τώρα εδώ και ένα δεκαήμερο δεν έχω θέματα . Άρα ένα καθαρό 2,4 και είσαι ο.κ.
Δεν κατάφερα να το κάνω να δουλέψει με άλλη εφαρμογή πλην της TCL. Δεν είναι τέλεια αλλά κάνει μια χαρά τη δουλειά της.
Σου λύνει τα χέρια . Αν δω τίποτα περίεργο με αποσυνδέσεις θα επανέλθω.
Αποσυνδέθηκε μια φορά μετά από 20 μέρες . Βγάζεις το κλιματιστικό από την πρίζα για 1 με 2 λεπτά και το ξαναβάζεις και όλα ο.κ.
Αν αποσυνδέεται μια φορά το μήνα δεν είναι τρομερό πρόβλημα ( για εμένα ) . Παλεύεται.
Εκτός από την Alexa που το βλέπει μέσα από την εφαρμογή της TCL με τίποτα δεν κατάφερα να το δουν άλλες εφαρμογές.

Έχει περάσει μήνας ( από την τελευταία αποσύνδεση ) χωρίς καμία αποσύνδεση . Και μετά από αρκετές διακοπές ρεύματος συνδέεται αυτόματα .

Αν δω τίποτα περίεργο θα επανέλθω.

The kit was installed in a TCL CHSA 12 unit. After removing the air conditioner's plug, unscrew the cover of the board and gently pull the board outwards. The Wi-Fi socket on the board is approximately in the middle and is labeled with small letters "Wi-Fi." After connecting, screw (with a screw not included) the module outside the board's box (there is a visible socket for it) and once you plug the air conditioner into the power, press the reset button. The app I use is not from TCL but Smart Life (purple icon of a house), which is compatible with several companies, so I control the air conditioners centrally from there. A major downside is that I couldn't find any instructions anywhere and had to take the entire board out to find the Wi-Fi notch.
Update 03/2025:
I bought 2 more from an official reseller on Skroutz, but these did not have the reset button as shown in the picture. Unfortunately, these specific ones only work with the TCL app and not with Smart Life, while those that are in Smart Life do not work with TCL (TCL Elite Premium II air conditioners and all 4, but the adapter??), so I am forced to use 2 apps for the air conditioners. I would like to add that the store provided good service to help me with the adapter's coordination, while the TCL app is terrible with disconnections from the air conditioners; I give a command to the air conditioner, and it opens whenever it wants, etc.
Το kit εγκαταστάθηκε σε tcl chsa 12άρι. Αφαιρώντας τη πρίζα του κλιματιστικού, ξεβιδώνετε το καπάκι της πλακέτας και τραβάτε ελαφρώς τη πλακέτα προς τα έξω. Η υποδοχή του wifi στη πλακέτα είναι στη μέση περίπου και γράφει με μικρά γράμματα wifi. Μετά τη σύνδεση, βιδώνετε (με βίδα που δεν περιλαμβάνεται) το module εξωτερικά του κουτιού της πλακέτας (έχει εμφανή υποδοχή που μπαίνει) και αφού βάλετε το κλιματιστικό στο ρεύμα, πατάτε το κουμπί reset. Η εφαρμογή που χρησιμοποιώ εγώ δεν είναι της TCL αλλά η smart life (μωβ εικονίδιο ενός σπιτιού) όπου είναι συμβατή με αρκετές εταιρείες οπότε ελέγχω κεντρικά τα κλιματιστικά από εκεί. Μεγάλο μείον ότι δεν βρήκα πουθενά οδηγίες και αναγκάστηκα να βγάλω όλη τη πλακέτα έξω για να βρω την εγκοπή του wifi.
update 03/2025:
Αγόρασα άλλα 2 από επίσημο μεταπωλητή στο skroutz τα οποία όμως δεν είχαν το κουμπί του reset όπως φαίνεται στην εικόνα. Δυστυχώς τα συγκεκριμένα δουλεύουν μόνο με την εφαρμογή της TCL και όχι με το smart life ενώ αυτά που είναι στη smart life δεν δουλεύουν με τη TCL (TCL Elite premium II κλιματιστικά και τα 4 αλλά ο αντάπτορας ??) οπότε αναγκαστικά 2 εφαρμογές για τα κλιματιστικά. Συμπληρώνω τη καλή εξυπηρέτηση από το κατάστημα για να με βοηθήσουν στο συντονισμό του αντάπτορα ενώ η εφαρμογή της TCL τραγική με αποσυνδέσεις από τα κλιματιστικά, δίνω εντολή στο κλιματιστικό και ανοίγει όποτε θέλει κλπ.

Εγκαταστάθηκε σε tcl chsa 12άρι.Μετά από δύο απογεύματα δοκιμών κατάλαβα ότι θέλει δίκτυο 2.4 και να μην υπάρχει 5άρι με το ίδιο όνομα ( όπως είχα εγώ με τα Mercusys H50G ) γιατί αποσυνδέεται κάθε 2-3 ημέρες , ενώ τώρα εδώ και ένα δεκαήμερο δεν έχω θέματα . Άρα ένα καθαρό 2,4 και είσαι ο.κ.
Δεν κατάφερα να το κάνω να δουλέψει με άλλη εφαρμογή πλην της TCL. Δεν είναι τέλεια αλλά κάνει μια χαρά τη δουλειά της.
Σου λύνει τα χέρια . Αν δω τίποτα περίεργο με αποσυνδέσεις θα επανέλθω.
Αποσυνδέθηκε μια φορά μετά από 20 μέρες . Βγάζεις το κλιματιστικό από την πρίζα για 1 με 2 λεπτά και το ξαναβάζεις και όλα ο.κ.
Αν αποσυνδέεται μια φορά το μήνα δεν είναι τρομερό πρόβλημα ( για εμένα ) . Παλεύεται.
Εκτός από την Alexa που το βλέπει μέσα από την εφαρμογή της TCL με τίποτα δεν κατάφερα να το δουν άλλες εφαρμογές.

Έχει περάσει μήνας ( από την τελευταία αποσύνδεση ) χωρίς καμία αποσύνδεση . Και μετά από αρκετές διακοπές ρεύματος συνδέεται αυτόματα .
Όλα καλά . Κάνεις τη δουλειά σου .
Αν δω τίποτα περίεργο θα επανέλθω.

Καμία αποσύνδεση . Θα αγοράσω και για το δεύτερο που έχω ( είναι τα ίδια ).
The kit was installed in a TCL CHSA 12 unit. After removing the air conditioner's plug, unscrew the cover of the board and gently pull the board outwards. The Wi-Fi socket on the board is approximately in the middle and is labeled with small letters "Wi-Fi." After connecting, screw (with a screw not included) the module outside the board's box (there is a visible socket for it) and once you plug the air conditioner into the power, press the reset button. The app I use is not from TCL but Smart Life (purple icon of a house), which is compatible with several companies, so I control the air conditioners centrally from there. A major downside is that I couldn't find any instructions anywhere and had to take the entire board out to find the Wi-Fi notch.
Update 03/2025:
I bought 2 more from an official reseller on Skroutz, but these did not have the reset button as shown in the picture. Unfortunately, these specific ones only work with the TCL app and not with Smart Life, while those that are in Smart Life do not work with TCL (TCL Elite Premium II air conditioners and all 4, but the adapter??), so I am forced to use 2 apps for the air conditioners. I would like to add that the store provided good service to help me with the adapter's coordination, while the TCL app is terrible with disconnections from the air conditioners; I give a command to the air conditioner, and it opens whenever it wants, etc.
Το kit εγκαταστάθηκε σε tcl chsa 12άρι. Αφαιρώντας τη πρίζα του κλιματιστικού, ξεβιδώνετε το καπάκι της πλακέτας και τραβάτε ελαφρώς τη πλακέτα προς τα έξω. Η υποδοχή του wifi στη πλακέτα είναι στη μέση περίπου και γράφει με μικρά γράμματα wifi. Μετά τη σύνδεση, βιδώνετε (με βίδα που δεν περιλαμβάνεται) το module εξωτερικά του κουτιού της πλακέτας (έχει εμφανή υποδοχή που μπαίνει) και αφού βάλετε το κλιματιστικό στο ρεύμα, πατάτε το κουμπί reset. Η εφαρμογή που χρησιμοποιώ εγώ δεν είναι της TCL αλλά η smart life (μωβ εικονίδιο ενός σπιτιού) όπου είναι συμβατή με αρκετές εταιρείες οπότε ελέγχω κεντρικά τα κλιματιστικά από εκεί. Μεγάλο μείον ότι δεν βρήκα πουθενά οδηγίες και αναγκάστηκα να βγάλω όλη τη πλακέτα έξω για να βρω την εγκοπή του wifi.
update 03/2025:
Αγόρασα άλλα 2 από επίσημο μεταπωλητή στο skroutz τα οποία όμως δεν είχαν το κουμπί του reset όπως φαίνεται στην εικόνα. Δυστυχώς τα συγκεκριμένα δουλεύουν μόνο με την εφαρμογή της TCL και όχι με το smart life ενώ αυτά που είναι στη smart life δεν δουλεύουν με τη TCL (TCL Elite premium II κλιματιστικά και τα 4 αλλά ο αντάπτορας ??) οπότε αναγκαστικά 2 εφαρμογές για τα κλιματιστικά. Συμπληρώνω τη καλή εξυπηρέτηση από το κατάστημα για να με βοηθήσουν στο συντονισμό του αντάπτορα ενώ η εφαρμογή της TCL τραγική με αποσυνδέσεις από τα κλιματιστικά, δίνω εντολή στο κλιματιστικό και ανοίγει όποτε θέλει κλπ.

Purchased today. Its installation was very easy. I have posted a photo to help some people. It is the one with the multicolored cables like a rainbow. Installed in a TCL elite 18. Indeed, there is space for the whole component to fit and you need a small screw, but even without it, it still stays there.
Now, for the connection with the mobile, I downloaded TCL home. It gave me a bit of trouble; personally, I did step 3, which you will see in the app instructions, and after some attempts, it connected perfectly. Αγοραστηκε σημερα. Η τοποθετηση του πολυ ευκολη. Το χω αναρτησει σε φωτογραφια για να βοηθησω καποιους. Ειναι αυτο με τα πολυχρωμα καλωδιακια σαν ουρανιο τοξο. Μπηκε σε TCL elite 18αρι. Οντως χει θεση να μπει το ολο εξαρτημα και θελετε μια βιδουλα αλλα και χωρις παλι μενει εκει.
Τωρα στη συνδεση μετο κινητο κατεβασα την TCL home. Με παιδεψε λιγο, προσωπικα εκανα το βημα 3 που θα το δειτε στις οδηγιες της εφαρμογης και υστερα απο καποιες δοκιμες συνδεθηκε αψογα. Το συνδεσα επισης και μετην alexa και λειτουργει αψογα. Μελλοντικα θε ελενξω για αποσυνδεσεις ή πρβοβληματα. Δειχνει οτι αξιζει τα λεφτα του. Αγοραστηκε απτον εκπροσωπο της TCL στον πειραια
In my TCL model, the port for the adapter was hidden behind the unit's cables. It took some effort to find it... but after that, the connection was very easy. You just need to download the app and scan the adapter's QR code.
Στο δικό μου μοντέλο tcl η υποδοχή για τον ανταπτορα ήταν κρυμμένη πίσω από τα καλώδια της μονάδας . Ήθελε προσπαθεια για να τη βρεις ..αλλά μετά η σύνδεση ήταν πολύ εύκολη . Αρκεί να κατεβάσεις την εφαρμογή και να σκαναρεις τον qr code του ανταπτορα.

Δεν είναι τόσο απλό στην τοποθέτηση, εκτός αν είσαι τυχερός και έχεις στο σπίτι ίδιο κλιματιστικό και βλέπεις που πάει τι.
Καλό θα ήταν στη συσκευασία να υπάρχουν οδηγίες λοιπόν, συν μια βίδα που χρειάζεται...
Πάντως όταν το τοποθέτησα δούλεψε αμέσως.
In a TCL 12 model where its own module never connected.. I put this one and it worked immediately.. I also put it in another brand and it worked well too
