The microphone was purchased because the sound card of my motherboard (Asus Prime X-370 Pro) stopped working after 4.5 years of daily use. It's very likely that it happened during a cleaning of the case that I did, and with a hasty movement, I bumped (clumsily touched) some of the capacitors connected to it, a few centimeters below. Anyway, we will never know as for the past 2 weeks I have been enjoying the Razer Seiren Mini!

Quality packaging and equally quality the microphone itself. Careful work at first glance from Razer, and visually appealing. I have the white version as my computer case is also white (Lian Li 0-11 Dynamic) and I thought to match them since it was also 2-3 euros cheaper than the black version. The use I make of it is for online gaming (PUBG, CS GO, etc.) and calls on Discord, Skype, Microsoft Teams. Everyone hears me satisfactorily, equally well one could say as the microphone that the Razer Kraken X has, which I have owned for the last 4 years. Surprisingly, the two microphones compete, however, the Seiren has a key advantage in this comparison: The sound from the headphones does not transfer to the microphone no matter how loud you have it, as it is a separate part of the computer. In contrast, the Kraken X microphone often picked up sound from the headphones (e.g., a song or gunfire in Battlefield 3) and transmitted it normally, as if you were talking, and it was somewhat annoying to the others after a point. Finally, I should add that the length of the cable is more than enough as I have an ultra-wide monitor and I run it from behind and then up, hiding it artfully from the mousepad so it doesn't bother the keyboard/mouse, and I reach it to a position 10-15cm from my mouth. I haven't yet recognized if this is the ideal position, but with future tests, I might achieve something better.

On the negative side, the main issue is that it has only a 1-year warranty from Razer (+1 year since it is within the EU from the store where you purchased it). Also, if someone has it excessively close for some podcast or specific content creation (e.g., ASMR videos), be aware that it smells strange, as if something burned inside the microphone. However, the most important issue is the warranty, which concerned me about its build quality and durability over time.

Of course, I will return in the future to add more information about the microphone itself and my experience with it.

Update 25/6/2024: (New motherboard: Asus Rog Strix B550-F Gaming WiFi II) I moved and disconnected it for the first time from the motherboard since the day I bought it. Well, for 3 days the computer did not recognize it no matter what I tried. Plugging and unplugging, driver updates from whatever relevant or irrelevant exists on the Asus and Razer websites. I spent about 3 hours troubleshooting on the first day, and because it exhausted me, the next two only about 1 hour total until I managed to fix it. The problem was completely resolved randomly after the 10th time I uninstalled/installed the audio drivers and restarted the computer. Now, as you will see below, the computer did not recognize it as "Razer Seiren Mini" but as "USB Audio device," and through the Windows 11 settings, I renamed it for greater convenience. Throughout the 3 days, I couldn't use it in MS Teams, OBS Studio, and PUBG, while I selected it as the Input Audio device it didn't work even though it was powered and the white LED on the microphone was on.
