Sterilizing the baby bottle before use is very important, at least until your baby reaches 6-7 months old and always according to your pediatrician's guidance. Each baby bottle, depending on the material and its usage instructions, has a specific cleaning process. First, wash it carefully with warm water and soap, using special brushes for cleaning to remove food residues.
Then, sterilization can be done in 2 ways:
- By boiling: immerse all the equipment in boiling water for 10 minutes, having previously checked that this method is suitable for your baby bottle and its components
- With an electric sterilizer, always following the manufacturer's instructions. Some baby bottles can also be sterilized in a microwave oven.
