Mercola Isophalt Varnish bituminous waterproofing varnish is used as a primer for bonding bituminous membranes, as well as for waterproofing and protecting concrete and other surfaces. It dries quickly and forms a continuous, hard and elastic film that adheres to building materials. It is also used to waterproof and repair gutters and channels, and to protect water and natural gas pipes against corrosion.
It is resistant to moisture, water and seawater, as well as dilute acid and alkali solutions, but is affected by petroleum products. Apply with a paintbrush, roller or brush, and thin by up to 10% with nitro thinner. Coverage is 1 m² per litre per coat; at least two coats are required.
