Pu-Flex sealing silicone in grey is supplied in a 310 ml cartridge and is used to bond mirrors to clean, dry surfaces. Suitable substrates include chipboard, wood, walls painted with alkyd or plastic paint, concrete, and sound plaster.
To apply, cut the nozzle at an angle to create a 2–3 mm opening, then apply the material in parallel vertical beads, spaced 5–6 cm apart and kept separate to allow air to circulate behind the mirror. Press the mirror onto the material and secure it with adhesive tape until the bond has fully cured, which takes at least 1–2 days depending on conditions. An adhesion test is recommended on substrates other than those listed above.
