Surgical sutures made of silk SILK 3/0 are non-absorbable braided silk sutures SILK 3.0 with a length of 75cm.

They can generally be used for holding soft tissues in contact or/and approximation, but their use is not indicated for the tissues of the central cardiovascular and central nervous systems.

Their application initially causes a slight inflammatory reaction of the tissues, characteristic of the reaction to a foreign body, followed by the gradual formation of a connective tissue capsule around the suture.

Despite the fact that silk sutures are not absorbed, they undergo a gradual loss of their strength.
