Description

Scorpius is one of the oldest herbs used for therapeutic purposes. It contains tannins and organic acids, while its bitter taste suggests its use in combination with other herbs, such as anise, to sweeten its flavor.

Scorpius acts as a soothing agent, diuretic, expectorant, and sudorific, and it helps with bladder and urinary system issues. It is used for diseases of the bladder, urinary tract, and kidneys. The lower part of the leaf with the orange-yellow fluff is used externally on wounds, speeding up healing.

The decoction of scorpius is considered one of the best herbs for eliminating kidney and gallstones, as well as for disorders of the urinary system. It is also used for pulmonary diseases, chest conditions, cough, bronchitis, diarrhea, intestinal worms, and is therapeutic for the spleen.

Usage:

  • As a decoction: In 1.5 cups of water, boil 6 grams for 5-10 minutes and drink once a day.
  • Mix for kidney stones: Scorpius, dianthus, and common seats (1 part) and five-leaf seeds (1.5 parts). Boil 27 grams of the mixture for 10 minutes in 3 cups of water, strain it, and drink half in the morning and the rest in the evening for a week.
