5/5 stars. The game is amazing no matter where you pick it up. The soundtrack, gameplay, decent story, and deep characters. God of War has it all. A true masterpiece, a solid 10. First of all, I love the character development of Kratos. In the previous games, he was a relatively good character. It is quite heartwarming to see how he has changed in the latest God of War. An older Kratos knows that what he is doing is wrong (essentially killing a lot of people), but he knows he has to do it in order to survive. Additionally, the game gives us a lot of insight into how Kratos is actually starting to have emotions as he wants to show his love for his son, Atreus. However, it is not easy for him to change, so it is somewhat built up (ultimately, it was built up perfectly as it didn't come out of nowhere). Also, the old Kratos (from GOW 1-3) was quite powerful and almost unbeatable. The new Kratos is weaker, which plays a big role. What do I mean? When a character in any game has weaknesses, it automatically becomes more interesting. It's nice to see Kratos struggling to face monsters/enemies instead of crushing them as if they were ants, yet still being almost unbeatable. I also liked how they built up Atreus, who went from being a little kid excited to help his father to a very interesting character. I will explain why. At the beginning, Atreus is a little kid who wants to help his father and wants to become like him (killing monsters and others to protect himself). The little one seems to understand that he is not ready and wants more training, controlling his anger. And this is significant for the character (it shows that GOW4 doesn't have cold and indifferent characters, but on the contrary, it has amazing characters that mature and evolve). These are 10/10 for this game
