Immediately after his admission to Kurosaki Clinic with a mysterious scar on his back, the burly Chad disappears without being discharged. Along with Chad is a talking parrot, which holds the soul of a young boy named Yuichi. It doesn't take long for the inexperienced Soul Reaper Ichigo Kurosaki to realize that a Hollow is involved in the case, which is by far the strongest spirit he has faced to date. Meanwhile, Ichigo will discover that some souls are not destined for the Soul Society, especially those that have been stained with innocent blood.
