Scudotex 455 thigh-high stockings have open toes and silicone, with graduated therapeutic compression, class 2, at 23–32 mmHg. They are used on a doctor’s recommendation for significant venous conditions, such as chronic venous insufficiency, varicose veins, phlebitis, oedema and varicose ulcers. They are also indicated for thrombophlebitis, postoperative prophylaxis, after varicose vein procedures, sclerotherapy and injuries to the lower limbs.
For ease of application, it is recommended to put them on in the morning, when the legs and ankles are rested. The special fabric application aid makes them easier to put on and can be removed by pulling it forward over the toes. The stocking should fit smoothly without creasing, so that compression is distributed correctly. They should be used as advised by a doctor.
