This book is designed to meet the needs of students in Technological Educational Institutions and Universities who have an intermediate knowledge of the English language. It can also be used as a reference book for professionals. It is the result of long teaching experience in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Technological Educational Institution of Piraeus.

It will enable readers to learn modern technical terms, understand authentic texts, improve their communication skills, and write technical reports. Technical English for Civil Engineers, Surveyors, and Architects contains 14 units based on authentic material with illustrations and diagrams.

The emphasis is placed on reading and comprehension, which is assessed through a variety of exercises and activities. Each unit begins with a reading text that deals with construction, architectural theory, or surveying, followed by comprehension questions, True/False statements, and multiple-choice exercises.

The linguistic work that follows contains notes on specific grammatical points with exercises related to them. At the end of each unit, there is terminology that includes words and terms related to the unit. The appendix contains technical reports that refer to various situations aimed at developing reading and writing skills.
