With use in both crop and full frame, I can say that it is impressive. I have had it for 3-4 years. It doesn't catch your eye because of the f2, but it really is worth every euro. The IS is good. I only use it for photography, of course, but still. Its weight and size make it much more attractive than other 35mm lenses. In terms of quality, it has nothing to envy at all.

One negative: The manual focus is very tight when you do it manually (video). Otherwise, it is a great lens. It is worth the investment.

Using the lens for professional use, I can't say that I am satisfied. Especially when I have the aperture at 2.0, the photos become blurry and look out of focus. I don't think it's worth the money, as soon as I get another lens that I can replace it with, I will sell it. Also, if you are choosing between this one and the 50mm f/1.8, I wouldn't even think about it, the 50mm has a significant difference, especially in portraits, and also in terms of price.

Excellent lens, with excellent colors and very high sharpness. The stabilizer does an amazing job.
It has noticeable vignetting at f/2 but it can be corrected.

The lens in terms of image quality is amazing. At low shutter speeds, the stabilizer does a very good job compared to other Canon lenses I own, which I also did not find out from reviews before purchasing. The lens is externally plastic, but it is quite heavy and the construction materials are of good quality. Also, the original Canon hood is lined with fabric on the inside. The disadvantage of the lens is the f/2 aperture because in the market, although more expensive, there are lenses with larger apertures. However, for me, it is sufficient.

I chose this lens after a lot of research compared to the sigma 35mm f/1.4 art and the tamron 35mm f/1.8, for the following reasons:
    • Better price.
    • Flawless optical quality.
    • Guaranteed accuracy in autofocus and compatibility with future canon camera bodies.
    • Presence of optical stabilizer.
    - What I appreciate that I missed is the f/1.4 aperture of the sigma.
    - My first impressions of the lens are excellent (just as I had estimated before buying)!
    - It seems that this lens, along with the canon ef 100mm f/2 usm or even better, the canon ef 135mm f/2L usm, are the lenses I would like to have forever!
