The Arran Single Malt chosen for this bottling was initially matured in first fill ex-Bourbon barrels for 7 years before being transferred for secondary maturation in smaller Quarter casks.
- Taste: Citrus, sweet spices, cinnamon, and vanilla.
- Nose: Apple tart, pineapple, and brioche.
- Finish: Sweetness, honey, pineapple, and coconut.
The process of transferring the whisky to smaller 125-liter casks for the last 2 years of maturation produces much greater contact between the whisky and the oak and faster, more intense maturation.
