The Korg SV-2 synthesizer combines 88 velocity-sensitive RH3 hammer-action keys with four levels of weighted response and EDS-X sound generation. Its polyphony reaches 128 voices, and it supports layers and splits of up to three sounds. It includes authentic electric piano, clavinet and organ sounds with characteristic background noises, as well as strings, ensemble, brass, choir and synthesizer sounds.

It offers four grand piano sounds and two additional piano sounds, along with 64 memory locations for favorite sounds. The effects section includes a real tube drive circuit, vintage effects and speaker simulations. The built-in K-ARRAY speaker system consists of two 2.5-inch speakers rated at 2 x 15 W and a 3-inch passive radiator.
