1. It has a small fan underneath and takes 2 batteries (not included in the package). It blows air quite satisfactorily so that the ball glides on top (it has many small holes). It doesn't make much noise and is not annoying. Basically, it's like those small fans that laptop stands have.
2. You need to assemble the goals. No tools are required. They snap together. The first issue is that once you put them in, they don't fit completely in the storage box. They stick out 5-10cm. It's a shame because the box is convenient. You'll still store it there, it just won't close.
3. It plays just fine and glides nicely. It includes 2 balls and 2 handles. The handles also have felt underneath to help. So it doesn't feel cheap.

The only problem I've found is that the goals are small, so if you try to score with power, the ball hits the back and comes back. In short, for a goal to be scored, it needs a specific force or direction. It's okay with smaller kids who don't hit too hard, but many times the disc either went in and came back or was half in and half out.
The solution is to completely remove the goals.
It won't ruin your overall experience; it's just a minor issue.

A very good choice as something different.
