Chlorasept 2% CHG MD is a new product (ready to use) for the disinfection of medical devices based on isopropyl alcohol and chlorhexidine. It complies with the recent guidelines of international organizations (e.g., CDC, Guidelines for the prevention of intravascular Catheter – Related infections, 2011) for the disinfection of intravascular catheters.

Chlorasept 2% CHG MD is ideal for disinfecting:

• Central catheters (e.g., single or multiple lumen, Swan-Ganz)
• Peripheral catheters
• Implantable catheters (e.g., Hickman, Broviac, Grohong, Quinton)
• Totally implantable intravascular devices (ports)
• Connection points for catheters and infusion devices (Hub)
• Pressure monitoring systems (in connection with arterial catheters)
• Stethoscopes
• Any other medical device that is alcohol-resistant.
