Description

The plot of our game takes us back to 1998, in the fictional Racoon City, two months after the Zombie Apocalypse (as it happened in the prequel Resident Evil, 1996).

In a gas station outside the city, Leon and Claire, two survivors of the revelation, try to unite their goals and escape from the zombies and monsters created by the diabolical pharmaceutical company Umbrella with the T-Virus laboratory virus.

The rookie cop and the college student, after their escape from the gas station, set the police department of the city as a meeting point, unaware that it has become a den of zombies. Arriving there at different times, the zombies do not allow them to meet and there begins to unfold the thread of a particularly terrifying and chilling story, different for each of the two protagonists.

With over 3 million sales in just the first week of release, the game promises great excitement and brings back memories of our childhood when the first title was initially released, as it is a remake of the classic Resident Evil 2 of the PS1 (1998).

A faithful representation

Based on the original release in 1998 for the PlayStation console, Resident Evil 2 has been redesigned with modern technology for a more immersive storytelling experience.

A new perspective

The shoulder camera and modern control elements add an updated touch to this horror and survival experience, combining modern gameplay with classic design.

Distinctive gameplay style

Engage in intense battles, explore dark and menacing corridors, solve puzzles, and collect items to use in your ongoing fight for survival.

A Classic Cast

Meet some of the most popular characters in the series in their first Resident Evil adventure, such as the famous adversaries Ada Wong and William and Annette Birkin.

Crossed Narratives

Follow two different campaigns for Leon and Claire and see events unfold from each character's perspective.

Cutting-edge visuals

Experience the incredible atmosphere and amazing landscapes like never before, with incredibly detailed characters, environments, and effects.

Iconic Characters

Leon S. Kennedy

An experienced police officer who evolved into one of the most legendary and beloved characters in the series, Leon Kennedy made his debut in 1998 with the original release of Resident Evil 2 on PlayStation.

Realistic and unwavering in the face of every difficulty, Leon immediately became a favorite among players, with his genuine charm and distinctive haircut, and returned as the protagonist in the next two games.

Claire Redfield

While searching for her missing brother - Chris Redfield, the protagonist of Resident Evil - student Claire finds herself trapped in Raccoon City as the streets are overrun by hordes of the undead.

Spirited and compassionate, Claire was the main connecting character between the first and second game, and remained in the series for decades after her initial appearance.

Ada Wong

A lone survivor wandering the streets of Raccoon City, Ada is definitely not what she seems. She hides her true intentions, but Leon is forced to trust her as they explore the ravaged streets.

Mysterious and determined, Ada has become a fan favorite with her anti-hero characteristics, while returning in subsequent games as a playable character alongside Leon and Chris.

Sherry Birkin

Daughter of Umbrella researchers William and Annette Birkin, Sherry is trapped in the Raccoon City police department after a frantic phone call from her mother. Alone and unarmed, she teams up with Claire Redfield to locate her missing parents.

Initially believed to be a minor character, Sherry later reappears in the series as a federal agent with unusually supernatural abilities.

This review is about a variation of the product

Although I consider it a remake, when it comes to sound, it fails to reach the atmosphere that the original created, especially in the library.

This review is about a variation of the product

I considered Evil Within 2 to be the most comprehensive Survival Horror, but this one takes it to another dimension. Although the original Resident Evil 2 was never my favorite, this title came along and overturned my worldview. I have already finished it 4 times from start to finish and I can't say that I would mind a 5th time. High-quality graphics, incredible soundtrack, and gameplay that you never get bored of. After completion, it has so much free bonus content (and without microtransactions) that will keep you busy for a long time. I won't talk about the story at all so as not to spoil it for you, but for survival horror, it's really good. Perhaps one of the few value for money games worth buying from day one. WARNING: It requires a powerful system to enjoy it (my PC specs: Ryzen 3 2200g, MSI Rx 570 8 GB, Viper 16 GB RAM 3000 MHz. With these, I was getting around 80 fps on high settings and at 1080p).

Some of you will feel the sentiment from the years we grew up playing this amazing game. Bravo to the creators and thank you. That's what I want to say. And if I have to say something negative, it's the music in the police department. From the old Resident Evil, when you entered the police department and heard your song, it gave you goosebumps. Unfortunately, they didn't do that here. Hopefully, if they release more remakes, they will have the same success as this one. With closed eyes, the fans of the genre and those with high demands on their PC because it has amazing graphics.
