The Optex FTN-R outdoor wireless infrared curtain motion sensor covers the area with upper and lower beams and has a maximum range of 5 m, adjustable to 2 or 5 m. It can be rotated through 190° and has a sensitivity of 2 °C at 0.6 m/s. It can be installed at a height of 0.8–1.2 m and is used to cover areas such as doors and balcony doors.

It is powered by the wireless transmitter’s battery, which is not included. Using the transmitter’s battery halves its service life, while enabling a low-battery indication for the entire device. The package includes a mounting box for the transmitter.
