Description

Description

"Could people learn to live underwater?" asks the little mermaid to Fix, the crab, although she already guesses the answer.
"No..." says Fix. "They breathe air because they have lungs that don't know how to take oxygen from the water."
"And they can't learn?" she says with complaint.
"Can you learn to walk?"
"No, of course not... I can't."
"Why?"
"Because I don't have legs; I have a tail," says Ondina to him.
"Well, something like that happens with them too."
The mermaid of our fairy tale is one of those female characters who, unlike most princesses in fairy tales, does not need or wait for her beloved prince to "rescue" her. She is a woman who makes decisions and takes risks without being afraid of the price she will have to pay. She stoically endures her fate and does not regret what she did to fulfill her dream.
Personally, the message conveyed by the story of "The Little Mermaid" delights me and encourages me to repeat what I learned from my home and spent my whole life supporting: Men and women are not the same. Fortunately!
We complement each other wonderfully.
