The Rotring Tikky mechanical pencil is designed for sketches and technical drawings that require precision. It has a lightweight, triangular plastic barrel and a textured rubber grip for a secure hold. The color coding, in accordance with ISO 3098, quickly identifies the lead width.

The eraser is located beneath the chrome-plated cap, which also covers the lead. The chrome-plated tip is fixed.
