After production ceased in 2015, GlenDronach Revival Aged 15 years returns to the core range of the distillery series.

It matures in Spanish Sherry Cask and select Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso barrels from Andalusia, remaining in the dark of the distillery's warehouses for 15 years.

An intoxicating explosion on the nose, with maraschino cherry, ripe bramble, and black chocolate mint, with hints of bitter oranges and walnut liqueur. On the palate, it offers rich notes of dark fruits such as ripe fig and black cherry, rich dark chocolate, honey, and subtle notes of cereals.

A very impressive 15-year-old whisky. The upgrade compared to the 12-year-old is more than noticeable. This edition is much richer and more complex, but at the same time smoother, with a robust and impressive mouthfeel.

Its aroma is quite comparable to the 12-year-old, with notes of dark fruits, chocolate, and caramel. On the palate, it starts off very sweet before it "hits" you with notes of oak, wood, dark fruits, apricot, banana, and chocolate. The finish is very long and warm, leaving flavors of biscuit and chocolate along with a pleasant malty sensation.

Overall, a very impressive and well-crafted whisky. It is quite sweet, but in an impressive way.
