Positive and negative ions are created through electrical discharge of plasma. Ions have a positive or negative charge. The positive (H2) and negative (0) Plasmacluster ions adhere to the surface of airborne ions and other substances and are converted into OH chemical radicals. With their extremely powerful oxidizing power, OH chemical radicals quickly extract hydrogen (H) from the protein on the surface of ions and other substances, thus decomposing the protein and suppressing its activity. The surface of bacteria and allergens consists mainly of proteins. Removing the hydrogen atom (H) from this structure deactivates the unwanted substance. In addition, the OH chemical radical combines with the removed hydrogen atom (H) to immediately form water (H2O), which returns to the air.
