The fischer DUOTEC plug is made of glass-reinforced plastic (nylon) with 2 components (hard and soft) and a special metal plate (DUOTEC 12) for resistance to high tensile and shear loads. Due to the flexible screw plate, it works with both chipboard screws and screws or rods with metric threads. 

The softer gray nylon component evenly distributes the load on the thin-walled material (drywall), minimizing the weakening of the load-bearing material. 

Its short body facilitates installation in narrow or insulated cavities through 10mm and 12mm drilling holes. 

The white sleeve and wings stabilize the plug's placement in the hole. The special extension has a placement scale (fischer DUOTEC 12) for determining the required screw length.
