    It does not clean easily!! It is not worth even 5 euros! The designer was definitely clueless about cooking! I had to unscrew it to clean it. Cheap and shoddy construction! Buy a waffle maker that is entirely made of non-stick material, not just the plates. It leaves marks and scratches with the slightest touch!
