-Nice full sound with a more bassy sound signature and very good frequency separation, more than enough volume for a room.
-I have them connected to a computer directly to the motherboard with RCA and with an active Yamaha 10-inch subwoofer and they play crystal clear, you need to properly adjust the Low/High cut depending on the sub and give more volume than usual through the sub out. Also, the computer does not recognize it as 2.1 but as stereo, for a separate subwoofer channel you need a DAC.
-I didn't touch the EQ from the speakers but I use EqualizerAPO + Peace to adjust them and bring them exactly where I want.
-Build quality is very good, I didn't expect it, they are sturdy, beautiful, and without flaws in the finish.
-They come with all cables except the coaxial and the remote works without problems.
-Bluetooth works properly without disconnections but the sound is quite lacking.
I believe for the money I bought them (about 125 euros) they are excellent and VFM and I recommend them!

They are worth it, ONLY if you want them for music and only if the following apply:
First of all, they sound good only with foreign music, e.g. Rock/Heavy Metal (excellent, because they have a warm sound), also good: Deep House, Dub, Goa, etc. They have good bass, to the point that you don't miss the subwoofer. For watching videos on the internet, movies are decent, but there you’ll move to another level with a subwoofer, which you can connect. For Laïka, Disco, they are not the best, but if the source has quality, something can be done; the reason is that they lose in the highs and mids. Strangely though, with the first genres I mentioned, they sound extremely good, it’s literally like they are playing different speakers!
They also work via Bluetooth connection, but with the cable, even RCA, of course they sound better. They also have a second RCA input, so you can connect 2 devices with RCA at the same time (but for some reason, the first one sounds better). On the back there is bass/treble adjustment, and the volume knob is pressable and switches the source to line 1, 2, or Bluetooth.
P.S. If you get them for PC, install MusicBee or even better JRiver Media Center (but that one is not free) and always have the Equalizer enabled and set for the genre you are listening to. If you are a fan of mids, highs, and generally a bright sound like monitors, etc., look elsewhere; if you are a fan of bass and warm sound, you will be satisfied, especially if you know how to set them up and adjust everything properly.

I bought these speakers to replace the R1280T, which I used daily for about 4.5 years. They are very good speakers for computer use for their price.

They have many different options for connecting to devices. I have chosen the Optical connection for the computer and sometimes Bluetooth. Additionally, they connect to each other with a 4-pin DIN cable instead of the classic unshielded red-black that most powered speakers have. They are 3m or 5m, so for an office, you definitely won’t have any issues.

Furthermore, it comes with a remote control, which is very convenient, as besides the classic options for managing music and on/off, you can also switch the connection ports. Each port has a different color light on the indicator of the main speaker.

Regarding the sound, it has a fuller, clearer, and louder sound compared to my old speakers. I enjoy them for movies, music, and games, remaining very satisfied. For the room where I have the office, they are absolutely ideal. They work seamlessly without any issues of disconnections or sound interruptions. I turn them off when I shut down the computer using the remote control and not the power supply behind the main speaker, so they are like in standby mode.
In terms of features and quality, they are ahead of my old ones, which I had fully enjoyed. Without being an audio expert or having knowledge about it, the result I get fully satisfies me.

Finally, I should mention that it has an input to add a Subwoofer with a Jack. Edifier has a model called T5 70watts. I haven’t looked into how much or if it accepts something larger. However, for an office room, it definitely isn’t necessary.

In conclusion, I recommend them and they are a very good purchase. Generally, this is the third time I choose speakers from Edifier and I have been very satisfied with the needs I had in each case (Edifier R1280T and Edifier R12U).

Note:
19/11/24, the active speaker, while working normally in the morning, stopped in the afternoon without any indication. It should be noted that they have not been played at high volumes, just simple, everyday, and home use. After contacting the store where I bought them, I went with both speakers and all the accessories, and they immediately confirmed that it was an issue with the power of the active one and replaced the active speaker on the spot under warranty. Within 3 hours, I had sound again.
Also, they informed me that this is due to voltage in the power supply (even though I have them on a surge protector and voltage stabilizer), the active speaker always has the problem from voltage or power, and THE MOST IMPORTANT thing in such situations is that EDIFIER immediately replaces the product after the issue is confirmed by the store, without further explanations as long as it is under warranty! I inform you that the remote control for the settings works seamlessly with the new speaker.
In the end, everything is fine, fully satisfied both with the store and with how EDIFIER handled the problem.

Incredible speakers, especially for their price.
They are not just computer speakers, but much more.
They can be connected with cables in almost any way and wirelessly with Bluetooth (only with SBC Codec), and all cables and optical fiber are included in the package. I would have liked a slightly longer power cable.
Their sound exceeds the expectations of an average user (and more), focusing more on quality rather than impressiveness. Movies, music, and even games are exceptionally rendered, thanks to their excellent stereo separation, and the 3D effects are fantastic (especially if you place them correctly around you).
They have settings on the back for bass, treble, and volume, and a practical remote control, which, although it looks like a toy, does its job well.
Their construction is good and sturdy, and keep in mind that they are quite heavy.
If you want Bluetooth speakers for your home, without caring about portability, DO NOT get a mainstream one like JBL Charge, etc. They cost about the same, but these speakers are in a class of their own (and more beautiful).

I have had them for 15 months on my PC through the SMSL DAC. They sound excellent across the entire sound spectrum as well as across different genres of music. They also play very well with the computer's RCA output, as well as with the optical fiber that I tried directly from the PC (bypassing the DAC). They sit on a desk with a glass surface and the bass is somewhat enhanced. When I connected them to a bulky subwoofer, I didn't achieve a good match, but it was probably due to the small size of my room (10 sqm). The Bluetooth is satisfactory, but nothing special in terms of sound quality.
Its two weaknesses are:
a) Performance at high volumes (the quality drops significantly) and
b) Sound colorations - pleasant, but not suitable for audio processing, etc. like monitor speakers.
My kids watch movies with them in the office and their performance is impressive, EVEN at high volumes (although it becomes tiring with loud music). If you want to listen to loud music, don't get them.
I consider them an excellent purchase due to their connectivity, build quality, and because I don't listen to very loud music through these speakers.
