In an 82cm gun, with a Meandros Energy 18mm rubber and a clean elongation coefficient of 2.7, the balls were gone 2 seconds after I loaded it underwater and the muzzle was found at the bottom. Compared to the plastic components (inserts for line release or head connectors), the cone of the muzzle has a very small volume and a very thin neck (I put them side by side and the plastic insert appears at least 50% larger in volume), resulting in the cone not being able to develop enough resistance no matter how tightly the bands are attached to the spear. I see other manufacturers' muzzles that are the same or worse. I wonder why they don't use a bit more metal. I prefer to pay an extra euro than to fear that the rubber will slip and ruin my fishing. With 16mm Salvimar S400 rubber and a coefficient of 2.9, it seems to hold up (loaded out of the water), but I haven't tested it in real conditions. In any case, visually and only visually, you understand that the cavity made by the cone inside the rubber is too small to hold such intensity, and psychologically it bothers me now. You have the feeling that at any moment you will hear a bang and be left without a gun.
