The clamp is designed to prevent pulling or accidental disconnection of the HDMI cable. It mounts on the side of the cage using a 1/4"-20 screw, which is secured with two anti-twist pins to prevent twisting. The cables are secured with a 1/4"-20 screw with an easy-grip knob. The screw adjusts a sliding block that can be tightened to fit different cable diameters. An Allen key is included for securing the mounting screw.
