  • Water taste
  • Placement in a two-stage countertop system with this filter in the first stage. It gives a strange taste to the water, like plastic, at least in my system. I combine it with a second stage of activated carbon. After contacting the company I bought it from, who were very helpful, they advised me to try the water without this filter, using only the activated carbon to see if the resin filter creates this taste... doing so, the taste of the water with the activated carbon improved and the unpleasant taste disappeared...
As for the salts, it may do the job (time will tell, I've had it for 2 days, the kettle is fine, without any trace of salts).

I have installed two in series, in a closed heating circuit and from 24 French degrees hardness (island), I measured at the output 1. Now for continuous flow of domestic water, I don't know how well it will work, there is a table on the Atlas page that states hardness/water volume. For the specific case that I am using it, however, it is just fine. Cheers.

After a few weeks, this material's brown substance starts to seep into the network. I don't know and I don't have an answer if it is drinkable. Due to the lack of an official response, I would not recommend it.
