The BG-Home is the new trap specifically designed for indoor use. The Biogents "BG-Home" mosquito trap is a high-performance and environmentally friendly device for indoor use that targets mosquitoes entering and resting in the home.

The trap is particularly attractive to the Asian tiger mosquito (Aedes albopictus) and the yellow fever mosquito (Aedes aegypti), which are not only annoying but can also carry life-threatening diseases. In addition, the trap can attract other insects found in your home.

The trapping method of the device is based on the patented capture technology of all Biogents suction traps. The BG-Home mimics the way odors are presented by a human body. An artificial human scent, BG-Homescent, has been developed, which is dispersed by the trap in a way that attracts mosquitoes.

Inside the trap, a heated surface at body temperature provides an additional attractive stimulus for mosquitoes. A UV light additionally attracts insects, while the black color of the trap is visually appealing.

The approach of the mosquitoes is enticed closer by all these attractive elements and is captured at the base of the trap where it dehydrates. A transparent window allows for monitoring the trap and indicates when it's time to empty the trap.
