Basic Features
9 Independent Sound Engines
The Korg Nautilus 61 uses the architecture of 9 independent sound engines. It includes the SGX-2 engine for acoustic pianos, with every key sampled in full and without compression; the EP-1 engine for classic electric pianos; and the CX-3 engine for emulating tonewheel electric organs, as well as the AL-1, MS-20EX and PolysixEX engines for analog and virtual analog synthesis. It also features the MOD-7 engine for VPM/FM synthesis, the STR-1 engine for physical modeling of plucked strings, and the HD-1 High Definition PCM generator for a wide range of orchestral and synth sounds.
TouchView User Interface & Realtime Controls
Navigation and configuration are handled via the 7-inch TouchView color touchscreen, which displays parameters graphically and responds instantly. The front-panel controls include recessed rotary knobs (Realtime Dynamics & Control Knobs), allowing you to adjust the filter, effects, and keyboard dynamics in real time. Smooth Sound Transitions (SST) ensures sustained notes and effects continue seamlessly when changing programs or Set Lists.
Built-in Sequencer, Arpeggiator & Recording Capabilities
The workstation features a complete production system with 16 MIDI tracks and 16 audio tracks (recording at 24-bit / 48 kHz), allowing multitrack recording of instruments and vocals. It includes four independent arpeggiators, automatic drum pattern sequences (Drum Tracks), and Sampling/Auto-Sampling functions for creating custom sound libraries directly on the internal 60 GB SSD.
Professional Connectivity & Communication Ports
For integration into studio systems and live stage setups, the Nautilus 61 is equipped with 6 analog audio outputs (Main L/R and 4 individual assignable outputs), 2 analog audio inputs with level controls, and a complete MIDI trio (In/Out/Thru). The USB Type-B port functions as a 24-bit/48kHz stereo sound card (USB Audio Interface) and USB-MIDI interface, while the USB Type-A port allows you to connect external storage devices and MIDI controllers.
