With toys, it's not easy to say if it's worth the money or not because every child is different. It says 12+ and we bought it for her birthday. She's almost 2 now and she still hasn't played with it to a satisfactory extent. The quality is excellent. The colors are exactly like in the photo, I just wish the lid would close in some way instead of just touching because if she tries to explore other sides, it opens and the bricks spill out.
