Sanctband developed the Flossband, which consists of 4 different levels of resistance. The different levels of resistance allow for different application of the bands to stimulate various layers of tissue, always according to the different tolerance limits of the users.

How does the Flossband work? Through various possibilities of application, compression is applied to the muscles by the Flossband. The high pressure applied results in an inhibitory effect on the pain receptors and the underlying fascia, relaxing adhesion to the weak bonds. This happens under the active and passive movement of the limb in which the Flossband is wrapped. When the band is released, the blood stasis is terminated and fresh blood hydrates the tissue. This leads to the relief of various types of pain.

When is the Flossband used? The Flossband can be used before or after training. It is a useful recovery method in physiotherapy. The therapist uses it when pain prohibits movement in the athlete or patient.

What is the difference in colors? All colors are suitable for the joints but specifically:

• Green color: Injury – Warm-up
• Blue: Warm-up
• Purple: Muscular – Myofascial
• Gray: Muscular – Myofascial

How much tension is needed? For use on muscles, a stretch of 50-70% would be advised. For use on fascia, you can go at least 50%. For injury, less than 30%.
