I have had it for 2 weeks and I have used it with various SD and micro SD cards. With a cheap Chinese SD U3 card, it reads at 90Mb/s and writes at 85. I believe with a better card it can go even higher. It also has a small blue light that turns on to indicate that it is in operation. For the price, it is value for money.
