Datex is a dual material, consisting of a supportive layer made from elastic polyester / elastane with a top layer of 100% chlorinated natural latex. It has the appearance of rubber but can be stitched and is not as vulnerable as rubber.

Another advantage is that it can be easily worn without the need for talc or silicone. Due to its rigidity, it is a suitable material for making head covers.
