In this volume, ten studies and research papers are collected, which were written and presented at scientific meetings or published in scientific journals or collective volumes in the last ten years. In a different format, they have been the subject of lectures and seminars for undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University of Crete and training seminars for primary education teachers. The central theme of these studies is language learning and teaching in primary school with a particular emphasis on reading acquisition and development.
