The GVM-1220 series is a remote-controlled Gigabit Ethernet fiber optic converter with OAM functionalities. It can convert Ethernet signals between 10/100/1000Base-T and 1000Base-X. It supports both half-duplex and full-duplex modes as well as various fiber optic options. It is a dual-fiber, single mode media converter with a range of 20 km. Management of remote devices can be performed via an OAM media converter or an OAM switch when used as a standalone solution. It features an easy-to-use web interface for operation, management, and maintenance, both locally and remotely.

It offers IEEE802.3ah OAM compatibility and can be connected to any fiber switch compatible with IEEE802.3ah, with loopback functions. All features of this converter can be configured and monitored through network management, including bandwidth control, full duplex, speed, and VLAN configuration.
