Description

Description

RX 6800

The AMD Radeon RX 6800 graphics card, powered by the AMD RDNA 2 architecture, features 60 powerful enhanced compute units, 128 MB of all-new AMD Infinity Cache, and up to 16 GB of dedicated GDDR6 memory. It is designed to deliver extremely high fps and 4K resolution.

FidelityFX

AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) uses cutting-edge upscaling technologies to boost frame rates in select titles and deliver high-quality, high-resolution gaming experiences without the need to upgrade to a new graphics card.

AMD FreeSync

AMD FreeSync technology puts an end to choppy gameplay and broken frames with fluid performance free of artifacts at virtually any frame rate. Witness the next major breakthrough in PC gaming experiences.

WINDFORCE 3X

It features unique blade fans of 2 x 90mm and 1 x 80mm, alternate spinning, 7 composite copper heat pipes, a large copper direct touch plate, active 3D fan, and bottom heat dissipation, which together provide high-performance heat dissipation.

Alternate spinning reduces the turbulence of adjacent fans and increases air pressure.

The 3D Active Fan provides semi-passive cooling, and the fans will remain off when the GPU is in low load or low power game.

The airflow is split by the triangular edge of the fan blade and guided smoothly through the 3D stripe curve on the fan surface.

The Graphene nano lubricant can extend the fan's lifespan by 2.1 times.

RGB Fusion 2.0

RGB Fusion 2.0 provides you with a better solution for customizing lighting effects on all supported devices. From motherboards, graphics cards, to peripherals, you can personalize your computer by sharing the profiles you create. Additionally, the new gaming mode makes lighting effects interactive in selected games to offer you a more exciting experience.

Protective Backplate

The metal backplate not only provides an aesthetic shape but also improves the structure of the graphics card to provide full protection.

AORUS Engine

The specialized and customizable management environment of Gigabyte allows for faster and safer overclocking of the card as well as control of electrical voltages. At the same time, it provides information on the status of the fans and the temperature of the GPU in real-time.

The card died on the first day of use after a few hours!! In a video on YouTube, you can see that many rx6800 cards experienced the same thing and they had the same drivers!!

I am writing the 1st review because there are none and I would like a potential gamer to know what it is about. The card is relatively thick only because it is slightly shorter in length than the classic long cards of Gigabyte. Obviously, it would be good to have a relatively spacious case. In titles like Metro, Cyberpunk, Assassin's Creed, etc., it easily supports Ultrawide 2k resolution, which I use. It consistently operates at temperatures ranging from 67-71 degrees in games and with Junction point it can reach 80 (depending). Yes, it does not have DLSS ray tracing, etc., but it is a beast of a card and will probably last because it also has 16GB VRAM. I have nothing negative to mention. It was purchased for 789 on 25/2/2021. I now notice the following... Gigabyte's drivers conflict with AMD's drivers sometimes. For example, when Adrenalin updates, the card changes the fan profile and activates zero RPM. For those who don't know, it reduces the fan speed to 0 when the card is not in use. Apart from that, the card performs well in all games, even in 2k ultrawide resolution.
16/3/2022. The drivers are constantly improving, and the card performs correctly in all the games I run, even in 2k ultrawide resolutions. Practically, the only game that needed modifications was Cyberpunk, which somehow works better on Nvidia due to RT and DLSS. Even at a price of 1100€, it is competitive, both this one and the 6800XT (1300€). A small note * it might be good to have a power supply above 750 watts bronze EVGA, which I have. As the card consumes up to 230 watts + overclocking, and if you also have an overclocked processor, it becomes chaotic.
