The new Aqua-Plus-GF pipes are designed, produced, and quality-checked according to the standards applicable to regular polypropylene pipes (EN 15874 & DIN 8077/78) and in accordance with the specific directive HR 3.28 of the German Institute SKZ. The polypropylene used for the three-layer Aqua-Plus-GF pipes (with mechanical reinforcement of glass fibers in the middle layer) is characterized as Random Polypropylene of special crystallinity (PP-R 112) and due to its high mechanical strengths (especially at high temperatures) and long lifespan, it is classified according to DIN 8077/78 (2007 edition) in the category MRS 11,2.0 MPa (PP-R 112), as opposed to regular PP-R which is in the category MRS 8.0 MPa (PP-R 80).
Advantages of Aqua Plus pipes with glass fibers:
- Reduction of thermal linear expansion by 75% (0.030mm/m/°C) compared to regular Polypropylene pipes.
- High pipe rigidity
- 25% greater pressure resistance compared to classic pipes.
- Greater amount of water transported
- The thermal welding of the new pipes with polypropylene fittings is done with the same ease as with regular pipes.
- Capability of production in SDR 7.4 SDR 11(Clima).
