Description

Description

Upgrade your computer with G.Skill DDR3 RAM, increasing the execution speeds of all your processes.

DDR3

DDR3 is the third generation of RAM memory technology for computers. It replaces DDR2 and offers increased speeds and capacity.

It offers operating speeds from 800MT/s to 2133MT/s, response time (CAS Latency) from CL4 to CL19, while its capacity increased up to 16GB per memory unit.

For speed (MT/s) and capacity (GB), the larger size we choose, the better performance we will have in our system, while for response time (CL), we want the smallest size for the speed (MT/s) we have selected.

The above characteristics should be compatible with our motherboard specifications.

The G.Skill SO-DIMM DDR3 provides speed at 1600MT/s, with CL11 and 4GB per memory unit.

Compatibility

DDR3 technology is compatible with specific motherboards and processors. Indicatively, DDR3 is compatible with Intel 3rd & 4th Gen, Pentium, and Celeron processors, as well as AMD FX and Phenom II series processors.

However, for compatibility with your motherboard, you need to ensure that your motherboard supports DDR3 technology from the manufacturer. Compatibility depends on the processor platform and the type of motherboard you are using.

Cooling & Design

The low power consumption combined with the low height of the memory, which is an ideal size to fit large CPU coolers, helps keep the memory and the entire computer at a fairly low temperature even during the most demanding operations.

  • Basically, my goal was to increase the speed of my PC that was dragging. As soon as I installed them, the difference was noticeable. Since then, I have been operating at a decent speed and without any problems.

  • It was the maximum memory I could put in a 10+ year old system and I really see a big improvement. No issues with the installation, just plug & play

  • In Dell Optiplex 3010 with a 1155 motherboard, which previously had 1 stick of 8GB, the machine took a breath. I have it for office applications and sometimes a little gaming. With Win 10, a 25€ SSD, 3770 (non K), and these memory sticks, it flies!
The motherboard is rated up to 1066 MHz but the memory sticks had no problem. They automatically downclocked to match the speed of the motherboard.

  • Unfortunately, the memory is not compatible with Intel DH55HC motherboard. Windows go into a Boot Loop. Money wasted. I see that other users have a similar problem with these memories: https://www.skroutz.gr/s/2815610/G-Skill-8GB-DDR3-RAM-me-2-Modules-2x4GB-kai-Tachytita-1333-gia-Desktop-F3-1333C9D-8GNS.html#reviews
