The punches are used to make holes in leather, rubber, cardboard, or fabrics. They find wide application in shoemaking, leather goods processing, and bookbinding.

They are made of high-quality steel in a tubular shape with a sharpened working edge.
When the upper side is struck with a hammer, the lower sharpened edge applied to the material creates a hole in it. The hole on the cutter side is used to remove fragments of the cut material.
