The Kenko TELEPLUS HD pro 2X DGX teleconverter doubles the effective focal length of compatible Canon EF and Tokina lenses with a Canon EF mount. It maintains communication between the lens and Canon EF camera, supporting auto exposure metering and autofocus. Its contacts also transfer Exif data and adjust it to reflect the focal length used with the teleconverter.

Its optical construction comprises seven elements in five groups, with multilayer anti-reflective coatings on the individual elements to reduce reflections and ghosting. Using the teleconverter results in a two-stop loss of light.
