Whoever gets it will have a good time. The duration is fine, about 9 to 10 hours. Honest. It also has a free upgrade for the PS5.

This review is about the edition: Gold

Without spoilers, I like that they give great value to the main character (Ethan Winters), because he sacrifices himself many times for his family even in extreme ways from Biohazard all the way to the end of Village and beyond. As a game, it has many surprises, puzzles, enemies, and one great 'Duke' (the merchant who helps the character with gadgets, etc). It is an easy and enjoyable game, 10/10

    Officially platinum!!
So I can share my impressions.
I got the Gold edition which also has the story of the protagonist's daughter. Don't miss this one!!
Initially, before I bought the game, I heard that 7 is much better. (You have to play 7, it's incredible) So I was waiting for the price to drop quite a bit.
I was wrong. The game is on par! With some changes. I have an action horror game. And not so much survival. It doesn't lose anywhere.
I would recommend playing it on Normal and not on easy. It's more impressive. I finished the village of shadows difficulty because of the platinum. I have no words. There are none!
You unlock weapons by playing that you can upgrade and with endless ammo.
Also, the extra mercenaries game is really fun! I should have gotten it from the day it was released! As I mentioned, I recommend the gold edition

I liked it as a game, it has nice graphics, nice gameplay, the game duration is not very long but satisfactory, it has enough weapons to choose from, it has horror elements but it is more of an action survival game than horror! Resident Evil 7 is quite good, apart from the village, but the village is also worth its money, 9/10 rating

The game is not survival horror in any case.
Ammunition is abundant on normal difficulty, as well as herbs.
I can't say it's horror either, except for 2-3 scenes that were truly sick.
However, it is an awesome shooter with hunting and action scenes, while adrenaline was pumping.
The plot initially seems like a big joke, but believe me, it will absorb you and ultimately reward you 100%.
The sound and music are possibly the best I've seen in a game of this genre.
The graphics on the PS4 slim are simply amazing.
+ it never had frame drops.
In terms of gameplay, it's the same as RE7, but here you can create and buy a wide range of weapons.
I prefer RE7 a little more because I'm a fan of hardcore horror games and 7 was one of them, but 8 is also an amazing but different Resi.

Because some people write that the game is small, let me inform them that NO resident evil has exceeded 8-10 hours. From the old days, all re games were made for the player to replay for unlocking weapons, difficulty levels, etc. In terms of graphics, what do you expect from an 8-year-old console? They should be grateful that they achieved such a result. I hope I helped.

Beautiful graphics but not next gen. The free upgrade to ps5 is a big advantage. Well-crafted sequel scenario to re7. It differentiates quite a bit from its predecessor in terms of gameplay, adding more action elements but maintaining the horror atmosphere. I was slightly disappointed with the setting of the game and the mediocre shooting experience it provides. At the price of 25€ that I found it used, it is definitely worth it and more.

Objectively better games of the 21st century:
    - The gameplay was more improved than in the 7th installment and overall brought a lot of things like weapons and various items, making it entertaining.
    - The horror element was somewhat limited in my opinion, but there were intense moments in the game that gave me chills.
    - The story was quite good, although it had some plot holes and some characters were somewhat underutilized. (But I hope they add DLC and show us their backstories).
Overall, the game is worth every euro. (I recommend trying it in hardcore mode)

Having finished this particular title 4 times, I have formed a mature evaluation. The story from RE 7 continues in VILLAGE with, in my opinion, a much stronger and well-written script, less scary, easier, and more "practical" in the sense that it is more accessible than 7. The characters have tremendous performances and unforgettable personalities. There is a greater variety of weapons and enemies, but a shorter story, which personally didn't bother me at all. I prefer a quality script all the way to the end rather than what I saw in RE 7. The truth is that €50 hurt me a little... I believe €30 would have been more appropriate since it doesn't have multiplayer and I achieved platinum in 4 days. Also, the difficulty level cannot be compared to that of 7; this one is by far easier. Shadows of the village is like the standard of 7. That's all I had to say, I hope I helped!

Very good game and quite good Resident Evil. Direct continuation of 7 in terms of story, but also a spiritual successor to the beloved Resident Evil 4 in terms of style.

Impeccable graphics, very atmospheric and with amazing direction.
The gameplay maintains a balance between horror, exploration, and action, which leans more towards action towards the end of the game.
Sound is very good. The music is not something you will remember for a long time.
Several particularly good characters and an intense story that will leave their mark on the franchise.

If the mind gets detached from the zombiemania that the series has accustomed us to for so many years, the new addition of creatures such as werewolves, vampires, etc. is very interesting. Plus, I consider it the scariest of the series

The best game of 2021, clearly. It's expensive for a story game, but still very much worth it. Just get it, I'm not kidding

This review is about the edition: Collector's

Simply epic game! Perfect story, super graphics that mesmerize you and make you wonder how it will look on the next generation consoles, incredible and enjoyable gameplay even though it is a horror game, and satisfying in terms of game length! In simple words, get it, it's worth every euro!

  • Whoever gets it will have a good time. The duration is fine, about 9 to 10 hours. Honest. It also has a free upgrade for the PS5.

  • Without spoilers, I like that they give great value to the main character (Ethan Winters), because he sacrifices himself many times for his family even in extreme ways from Biohazard all the way to the end of Village and beyond. As a game, it has many surprises, puzzles, enemies, and one great 'Duke' (the merchant who helps the character with gadgets, etc). It is an easy and enjoyable game, 10/10

  • Officially platinum!!

  • The game looks nice because it continues the story of 7. And I liked that you can unlock many bonus weapons and the ending is just touching.
