The game is very good and is a continuation of biohazard. They have included all the good elements from previous titles that fans of the series enjoyed (well done Capcom for listening to your audience).

In detail:

The beloved merchant we met in RE4 has returned! Many upgrades and weapons to choose from, whatever you like! The same logic as in 4, you find various treasures or kill monsters and exchange them for money to upgrade weapons or buy supplies!

The gameplay is the same as in 7, weapons on the cross, defense with L1, the only thing that didn't work for me is the running with L3, it could have been another button.

The graphics are very good, and given that I played it on a PS4 Pro, it will be even better on a PS5! I would have liked a bit more color in general because it's mostly black and white! Also, in some areas, it is too dark for no reason. The sound is very good, screams, weapons, dialogues, battles, everything is well harmonized!

Overall, there are plenty of weapons and ammunition, you don't run out like in 7 where ammunition was scarce. Plus, you can craft your own bullets! Grenades and hand grenades have been added, very interesting weapons as well!

Also, the game is not as big as I expected! It's small, and there are a lot of back-and-forth movements, especially in the first half where you go back to the village to find objects and keys. The map is inconvenient and doesn't guide you easily as the roads are usually blocked, so you have to find an alternative route.

After the halfway point of the game, it almost becomes a shooter with lots of shooting and many enemies! The first part is more mysterious, with puzzles and exploration, keys and objects needed to open paths, etc.

I liked the Dimitrescu Castle, the Beneviento part, and the village! The factory didn't remind me much of the classic Resident Evil.

Overall, I give it 4 stars, and it loses one star due to the first-person perspective! I bought a game and to play in third-person (which was added upon request from the audience), I have to pay extra!!!!! This is unacceptable.

Overall, though, as a game, I recommend it. It took me around 12 hours to finish it on normal difficulty with many deaths and a lot of exploration without finding all the secrets, I left many things behind. I will play it again to find the rest!

Epic game, personally better than 7 even though it wasn't as scary as 7. Basically, I have them equal. Definitely, in order to connect more with the world, you must have played at least 7. By the way, the game has a more horror area than all the horror moments of all the previous Resident Evil games combined. Many Easter eggs from beloved games like Bloodborne, Dark Souls, and Wolfenstein, amazing atmosphere. Nice boss fights, nice level design, and naturally challenging puzzles. I loved the music, I loved the intro and outro. The game is not so much horror apart from that one area that is the definition of Japanese sick horror. The game is an action horror, which didn't bother me since I ended up liking the game. Of course, I would have liked it to maintain the horror atmosphere more. It's definitely worth it, I easily liked it, the first-person camera can be tiring in some intense action moments, but that's it. PS Capcom released a third-person camera, so you have the option to choose whatever suits you

I finished it 2 times and I have to say that I don't need to say unnecessary words because of the fans' correct words of our friends. When I started playing it at the beginning, everything seemed very similar to the 4th part. The graphics are very nice, everything is perfect, but the story is okay. Maybe it's because I watched many movies from the '90s and '00s that show a father trying to save his child (almost always his daughter) from monsters or some abnormal killer. This story reminded me of Silent Hill (PS1) and I played the father trying to find and take his daughter from the haunted town.

I was trying to get rid of the idea that there are no more zombies and giant spiders from the 7th part. Because of my deep love for the old characters. Generally, the story is predictable and the battles with the bosses are okay, just shooting and running.

There are 2 things that bothered me - 1st, you can't explore the whole huge castle and you keep running back and forth in the same areas. 2nd, since there is no storage box like in the 7th, your first priority is to buy three suitcases to expand the space and not have to get rid of the upgraded weapons and various things that you will need in battles.

In general, Village is definitely not Resident Evil (my personal opinion) but a very enjoyable game. Of course, it is not superior to the 7th part. Anyway, I was very happy that the most famous character to all of us, Chris Redfield, 48 years old, is such a $%&^%*^%&$%&$% guy.

As for the price, it would be better to get it somewhere around 25-30 euros. Unless you wait a few months later for 20 euros.

It definitely has the best graphics out of all the RE games, and especially the indoor areas are excellently executed with amazing details. The village is well-built and has an exceptional atmosphere that strongly reminds me of the RE4 era. The first hour of the game is perhaps the most powerful introduction in the history of RE games in terms of horror, suspense, etc. However, as the game progresses, the action increases and the element of horror decreases, without meaning that there aren't intense moments. Simply put, compared to the previous game (RE7), Village is less of a survival horror and more of an action game. Now, as for the enemies, I had a hard time accepting the new direction of the series, as I am a big fan of the first two RE games, and having enemies that run, etc. helps the action aspect of the game but not the horror. Nevertheless, I accepted it and it didn't bother me much. BUT! What happens towards the end of the game completely takes away the horror element to the point where I thought I was playing Bioshock or Doom. I won't go into detail to avoid spoilers. Despite all this, it is a quite entertaining game to pass the time, but it does not rank among the best in the series by any means. The reason I deducted two stars is because of the intense action part of the game towards the end and certain specific category of enemies that do not resemble anything from RE. I finished it in 10 hours and 45 minutes, and I believe it would have been a good purchase at €20-€25.

After the high sales achieved by Resident Evil 7, Capcom decided to continue the legendary Resident Evil series with the eighth chapter, also known as Village. It seems that with each new Resident Evil title released, they want to introduce new additions. But does this favor their new games?

Firstly, I should mention that Village is a direct continuation of its predecessor, so it is good to have played RE7. This time, Ethan, along with Mia and their daughter Rose, have settled in a village in Romania. However, a tragic event occurs that triggers the action. This event is none other than the kidnapping of Rose. So, Ethan begins his search in the eerie and certainly inhospitable village. There, he will encounter Lycans and many other creatures making their first appearance in the new Resident Evil. From the first hour of gameplay, the more action-oriented approach followed by the Japanese company becomes evident. This more action-oriented approach is something that divided the series' audience, as the action element was not as noticeable in any previous Resident Evil. Something that is also present is the traditional horror experience that the player experiences throughout the game. It may not be to the extent it was in Resident Evil 7, but it is there. There are still clear influences from various movies and video games. If you ask me, I would have liked the game to be a little scarier because there were few times when I felt fear and the familiar anxiety that was more prominent in previous chapters of the series. From the above, it seems that Capcom wants to appeal to not-so-"brave" gamers who hesitated to engage with Resident Evil in the past.

As shown in the trailers for Village, various characters from the past return. I believe they are the ones who save the game since Ethan is very "shallow," as is Mia. Something I didn't understand is the company's obsession with not showing Ethan's face. A positive aspect is that the villains in the game are well-designed and can stand alongside previous "bad guys" in the series.

The gameplay remains at the same level as in RE7, with no notable additions. Chem fluid, Gunpowder, Herbs... the classics. However, something new is the absence of storage boxes. Instead, there is a huge inventory that upgrades during the game. Practically, it's like the player has the box with them. Due to this, there are not many weapons in the game. In a faster-paced game, the sniper with a zoom scope is needed when the Lycans move quickly and are at a distance of half a meter? After RE4, Duke returns. Duke is the game's merchant who supplies items and upgrades. There is the ability to sell items as well as upgrade weapons in exchange for the game's currency, Lei. Lei can be found scattered on the map but can also be acquired by selling items. As time passes and Ethan progresses to new areas, Duke will also move to points where it is easier to access for item trading. Duke may seem like he doesn't know anything... but he knows everything. Something I want to emphasize is the puzzles in the game. I read in reviews that the game has top-notch puzzles, but playing it I realized that it's not anything special. Compared to Resident Evil 7, it's better, but don't expect anything outstanding. After the end of the main story, the mercenaries mode is unlocked, where the goal is to kill enemies that appear in waves in exchange for Lei.

The world changes for the first time! It has a central hub where specific items need to be placed to progress in the game, and these items will be collected from the rest of the map. Following this path, the suspense is lost in RE8. The game makes it clear at some point that certain items need to be collected in order to progress the story. It even mentions the number. I believe they should have handled it differently to maintain the suspense, as they did in previous Resident Evil games.

Technically, the game performs excellently! The sounds of the weapons, the screams of the monsters, and the voices of the characters are all improved. I recommend everyone to play the game with headphones, the experience is enhanced! The textures of the game are also exceptional. Although the PS4 version I played doesn't have ray-tracing, there were many moments where the reflections were incredibly good. I wonder how it will look on the PS5. I didn't encounter any bugs. At this point, I should note that the world doesn't change based on the player's actions. For example, I shot some frames, but they didn't deform or fall. Only the bullet marks remained on them. Closing the technical aspect, I should mention that the game has a very nice soundtrack.

To complete the village, it took me 6:30 hours on normal difficulty with little exploration of the world and without dying many times. Towards the end, I feel like it had a "lull". The last area, although it doesn't resemble Resident Evil at all, I liked it a lot mainly because of the atmosphere, but I think it started to become tiresome at this point. The game is generally not difficult; it requires proper management of equipment. There's no need to kill everything that moves because the enemies are sponges. Obtaining the Platinum trophy is not easy. It requires multiple playthroughs, collectibles, etc.

Overall, the village is a pleasant adventure that differs from Resident Evil 7 and even more so from the previous chapters of the series. We see Capcom trying to attract new players to the franchise by making some changes. It remains stagnant in some areas while evolving in others. In general, don't get stuck on the game's title, say that it's not playing Resident Evil. Consider that you're playing the village and you'll have a great time. Just be patient until the game drops to around $30 and grab it.

Guys, we're talking about a masterpiece here. The work that has been put into the game, the plot, the twists, the weapon handling, all prove it. Let me start by talking a bit about the work. The game is made with the RE engine, which offers amazing graphics combined with unlocked fps, even for my PS4 slim. The game ran (according to tests I did) at 40-55 fps on my PS4 slim. For those who know about technology, it's literally a milestone for Capcom. In other words, it runs flawlessly with no crashes and a smooth experience. It took me about 15 hours to complete the game (with all its secrets) on my first playthrough. But I took my time, I didn't rush it. As for the plot, I can't talk about it because it has so many developments and even hearing just one will spoil it for you. It's better to go in blind. However, I would recommend playing Resident Evil 7 first before playing this one, as the games are connected. You won't lose anything, but in certain parts of RE8, you'll understand certain things better in the plot. There's a great variety of weapons. I won't talk too much about them either because they're spoilers, as you find them while playing. The characters and voice actors are excellent, especially the villains. Well-written with the right motivations for their actions. The sound is top-notch, it made you feel helpless when you should, it helped you when you needed assistance, and it made you feel like a superhero when you should. Just wonderful. To conclude, I want to note that I had no issues on my PS4 (regular-slim) because, as I mentioned before, it runs perfectly above 30 fps. I hope you buy it and don't overlook it. Enjoy!

The game is based on the story of Biohazard and is the second consecutive Survival Horror game from the R. EVIL series, and this change is a personal opinion of whether one liked it or not. Personally, I will say that I have no problem with it. After that, the infamous Dimitrsecu has probably left an impression on the appearance from the trailer, which lasts relatively little within the game, and it even gave me the impression (the trailer) that she could have been the final opponent. (I hope I'm not spoiling anything) The main story is cliché, but now we don't really care if they present it nicely like here... The game, as I read correctly, is less scary but definitely mainly creepy. A good number of "puzzles" although not as difficult as before. The addition of the new Merchant is a big plus, as well as the small gameplay story of the soldier Redfield, (within the main game and not as a story unlock) since personally the military aspect in any game no longer excites me like before. I would not consider it negative that it does not unlock something new to play when you finish it, like in Biohazard, and to conclude that in my opinion, I did not consider it short but neither long-lasting. The evolution of the "zombies" was good... if we can still call them that, and fortunately the final monster, let's say, was quite "menacing" compared to Resident Evil 7 Biohazard... It is worth the money, but not at the price of €55-€60 with which it was released. I would give it 5 stars, but I believe that there is always room for improvement. P.S.: I slightly liked it more than its predecessor and strangely noticed a glitch that may not have been the only one, but it definitely stood out even though it was very brief. Resident Evil may be one of the most exhausted franchises in recent years...
So, I finished the game and here are some of my impressions quickly:

+ Incredible sound design
+ Amazing graphics, great performance on PS5. Even with Ray Tracing, it runs at 60fps, only dropping to 55-45 in big battles.
+ Very immersive atmosphere, each area feels like a photographic portrait.
+ Interesting villains
+ The story connects well with Resident Evil 7 and flows seamlessly, making it hard to predict when you'll see the end credits.
+ The first 5 hours of the game are intense with plenty of jumpscares. Not as much as in Resident Evil 7, but still a very satisfying horror experience.

- Poor implementation of adaptive triggers
- Limited FOV without the ability to change it
- Lacks memorable music that enhances the atmosphere, mostly just ambient sounds playing...
- I would have liked more time in Dimitrescu's Castle
- Bullet sponge enemies that increase the game's length...
- Unfortunately, the last 2 hours of the game are very disappointing as it turns into a shooter.
- Short duration
- Almost no puzzles, as the game focuses more on the cinematic experience.

I really enjoyed the game despite the negatives I mentioned, and it's definitely worth the initial price of 60 euros. The only thing that truly bothered me is the action-oriented path the game takes in its final hours. I would recommend starting it on Hardcore difficulty if you're a fan of the series, as it took me a struggle to finish it on Standard difficulty, which took around 8 hours...

*For those who have a PS5, it would be wise to purchase the PS4 version of the game so that if they want to sell it or lend it to a friend who has a PS4, it would be easier. I should note that the PS4 version includes the free PS5 upgrade.
