Royal Talens Amsterdam Crackle Medium creates a crackle effect with acrylics, tempera and gouache. Water-based and quick-drying, it develops cracks within minutes of applying the paint.
Apply with a brush to a clean surface and allow it to dry completely before painting. Drying time ranges from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on environmental conditions, and may be longer on glass. For a more pronounced effect, use strong colour contrasts. The medium can also be used for retouching in decoupage, and brushes can be cleaned with water.
