The brand is one of the "exotic" ones in tools, so their bar is set high. I got the 3/8" to replace another cheap one that served me well for many years. The Wera is also longer, meaning greater leverage, thus more torque applied to the nut/screw. It is also lighter, which means a reduction in the weight I carry in my backpack tool bag. It is thinner in thickness and width of the head, which means it fits more easily into tight spots. Due to its mechanism, you have movement of just 5 degrees, which is extremely important when the screw you need to tighten is in a spot that doesn't easily give you a hand! Yes, okay, it is an expensive tool, and time will tell if it was worth the money, but the company has shown its credentials, so yes, I would recommend it for purchase.

    update 25/11/23:
This particular ratchet was an absolutely successful choice! Everything I described in my initial review, I confirmed and more in practice working with it daily, incredible ease! The extra length indeed makes a T E R R I F I C difference in tightening without becoming a tiring burden for the user's hand. I have also gotten the large one with the 1/2" square and I have the comparison directly.
Just like the old one in the photos, I also mistreat this one even though it's a gem. The job MUST get done! Hammers, kicks, hits, using the tool itself as a hammer when the hammer is far away and I'm hanging somewhere, they haven't felt a thing.
It does what it promises and does it effortlessly.
