  • I have been painting for years with dry media and decided to try watercolor (with watercolor pencils though). I got tired of constantly dipping the brushes and decided to get this one with the reservoir. It really does help a lot, but unfortunately, it doesn't work for me in terms of size. It only works for very small pieces or for details in larger works, where regular brushes are also necessary. In short, I expected it to be bigger. In terms of dripping, yes, it does drip from time to time unfortunately. The two makeshift artworks in the photos were made with watercolor pencils and the use of this brush.

While it is convenient, the tip is nice, and the result is nice... it drips everywhere, meaning it loses water around the black part above the tip, resulting in it dripping on the paper left and right. Another Sakura that I have doesn't have this issue.

Since I found water brushes, I only use conventional brushes for very specific tasks. They are very convenient for traveling, as they do not require a water container. Yes, they require a period of adjustment and attention to how much pressure we apply to the handle. Yes, the bristles wear out a little faster (they don't fray, but they lose their shape), but this is expected from synthetic brushes. I have tried the small and medium sizes. Only Pentel brushes were worth it. Stay away from imitations, the container does not press well, and sometimes the water flows and sometimes it doesn't. A must-have for watercolor!
