Description

Self-cleaning antifouling paint without tin

Soft antifouling paint free of tin. Contains special biocides and copper, protecting vessels from bacteria, algae, seaweed, shellfish, and generally organisms that attach to the hulls of ships. Ideal for vessels made from polyester, wood, steel (excluding aluminum), moving at speeds up to 20 knots.

Surface Preparation

  • The surface must be completely clean and dry at the time of application.
  • The temperature should be above the dew point to prevent moisture condensation.
  • In confined spaces, ensure adequate ventilation during application and drying.
  • For painting over old antifouling paints, remove dirt, algae, seaweed, and shellfish, and wash thoroughly with high-pressure fresh water.
  • If necessary, use EUMARIA VINYL PRIMER one-component for isolating incompatible or old antifouling paints.

    Last year I applied, after a GOOD cleaning, 1 coat of Eumaria vinyl primer and 2 coats of Eumaria ultra black to my boat.
    It stayed in the sea for 6 months!!!
    Almost nothing stuck to it!!!
    Some traces of slime, which would come off as soon as I moved the boat.
    When I took it out, I immediately washed it with a pressure washer and a sponge without much scrubbing.
    This year, although it is not necessary, because I want to, I will apply another coat of black.
    It needs GOOD PREPARATION and at least primer and two coats of antifouling the first time.
    These from Nisyros, Dodecanese.
