Protect photovoltaic elements from reverse currents and are recommended to be used when the system is designed and operated with more than two string elements. The fuses, which have suitable response characteristics to DC current, must be selected at 1.25 times the short-circuit current of the photovoltaic elements used. Fuse holders should not be used as load switches.
