The PS 165 FXE speaker set guarantees easy installation and clear listening inside the car. Combining Flax technology with Focal innovations, they offer one of the most natural sounds.

The TMD (Tuned Mass Damper) surround integrated into the woofers stabilizes the surround for better control and greater neutrality and linearity, offering denser bass. The central dome helps improve sound dispersion.

The TAM tweeters with inverted 'M'-profile dome included in the set offer greater angular dispersion and better sound definition, without directionality. Thanks to their inclined placement, they are easily installable in the vehicle. A compact and pre-wired acoustic separator completes the set. Finally, with the engraved aluminum basket and the meticulous finishes, the PS 165 FXE combines style, discretion, and a modern look for a premium system.

THE FLAX CONE, EXPRESSIVE AND NATURAL

This flax cone has been exclusively produced in France by Focal since 2013. With its original design, it is 100% oriented towards acoustic performance. This sandwich cone is formed from a flax fiber core placed between two thin sheets of glass. Flax is a fiber with a unique ability to reproduce a very natural sound without coloration, with rich reproduction in the midrange and clear bass. Its lightness offers great dynamics, while its rigidity supports the bass and provides good damping for a faithful acoustic experience.

THE TAM TWEETER

Manufactured in France in Focal's workshops, the TAM tweeter stands out for its many capabilities, particularly in terms of wide-angle dispersion, beneficial for car environments characterized by "off-axis" listening.     Incredible speaker with plenty of bass for a simple speaker..!! It delivers just the right amount of bass… and without insulation and a proper amplifier (of course it's new but just a simple Cadence) clear sound even at high volume…!! I also got the Flex Evo PC165 FE for the shelf and they match perfectly!! Now my next purchase will be a proper amplifier and a Focal 2.1 subwoofer to achieve the ultimate!!

    I have been wearing them for about 1.5 years now. Made in France! Quality construction! Very clean sound! Good insulation in the door helps them stand out! If combined with a good amplifier and the necessary "tuning", you will not be disappointed at all! The tweeters are very good, as well as the woofers.
    For those who may prefer them, keep in mind that the woofers need space to fit in the door, they are not "shallow"...
    If I remember correctly, their height is 78mm.
    Certainly, there are better split speakers, but you will probably have to pay more!
