I bought them for a road bike where I couldn't fit a tire larger than 28 (700x28c).
The tires are very comfortable for city riding, even when the road is wet, but the most important thing for me is that you can ride over a little bit of dirt or gravel without worrying about slipping like with a typical road tire without any tread. I have also used them for off-road routes on dirt paths, without many bumps, and they perform great. Obviously, they are not as good as the equivalent 32 or 34, but for someone who has a road bike and can't fit something wider but wants to be able to ride on a trail, I highly recommend them. It's the closest thing you can put on a road bike to a gravel tire.
